Sedan 75, 1.8L petrol: Did motor-wash, now motor-warning light motor not firing right

Day after washing motor with salmiac-water and water in the end.
Got blinking motor-warning light, and motor is not firing right, shaking an has less power ?

Have happen before sometimes during the many years I have had the car, then I just turn off and turn on the car, and motor ok.
Sometimes I just check oil level and fill some.

I did same now, dipstick showed less than half on marker, so filled with 0.5L oil.
But still have the problem.

What to check further ?

Wait for the engine to dry out Anders and don't use water again!

What is salmiac-water; salt water?

It's Aluminium Chloride, Google says it's used as an ingredient in some sweets and for cleaning !

I recognised it from my days working in hot dip galvanising factory, it was used as a kind of flux, spread over the surface of the bath while the metal lamp posts etc were dipped. Once in the bath we then had to skim the surface free from the flux with large, flat wooden paddles and then the crash beams or whatever could be lifted out.

Many years ago I decided to clean the engine in my first 1.8 Rover, using soapy water. Mis fired, engine management light on, took it to the garage who showed me that there was soapy water around the spark plugs and loads of condensation, dried it all out! My fault.

-Salmiakk is a household degreaser (Ammonium chloride). Washed with only water right after. Wanted to remove oil from an old oil-leak/defect simmerring years ago.

-I talked with a mecanic, showed picture of engine. He said probably you got water coming into area where coil/sparkplugs are under the top-plate. He recommended removing plate/couple of bolts, and clean up water/humidity from the washing, with f.ex with compressed air.

I opened the cover-plate, 2 sparkplugs-covers needed to be screwed out bolts and 2 rubbers you could pull out.

Blew out with compressor down to the sparkplugs holes and inside rubber-tube, fixed the problem.

Now you know, don`t be such a good boy with engine-cleaning, at least the top ;-)
