It's a shame that some people feel the need to make an argument out of something so trivial, if you don't like what someone is doing to there car a polite 'not my cup of tea' would suffice, no need to berate the owner.
Don't give up on the meets because of other people, that means they have won. There are plenty of good people out there which more than makes up for the idiots.

It appears nobody here thinks much of my neat 160 badge just that sits below the CDTi badge on the back of my car.

But I couldn't give a monkeys whatsit what anyone else thinks, I think it looks brilliant!

It was the DRLs debate that spilt over on to the Facebook group and caused all the unpleasantness last month.

Some people are petty and have too much time on their hands, always looking for attention and to make themselves feel better by putting others down. The bottom line is, 'Do what you want to your car and hang what anyone else thinks!'

Dont let them even annoy you let alone stop you from going to meets!
Its your car its your choice.
Being a Coventry fan I get abuse, snide remarks from people who have never been to a football match let alone Manchester of Chelsea etc. They never seem to be about when we win our six monthly game lol! Take plenty of no notice as my old Great Aunt used to say to me.

Thats your opinion and perhaps a discussion topic for a separate thread.

Hi Chad, really saddened to see this. I can't say I remember the thread in question, but then again this is a big part of the reason I stopped posting on here. There is always someone willing to bring you down and belittle little modifications. It doesn't just stop there, every post About tyres is greeted with 'you can't put a price on life' etc etc.
You are welcome to pop round to mine as I have just ordered some xenon gas filled fog light bulbs (that will scare the purists) you may well like the look of them, and are a direct fitment.
I hope you reconsider mate, I know how much Sherwood means to you. If you really want your name taking off mate, I will regretfully do so.
All the best mate.

Default Drl lights

hello members, just read Chads comments and its a shame that some members are not pleasent if they saw what I have done to mine by fitting drl lights I think I would get slated I bought two led strips which go right around the headlights and I think they look good, but saying that I have gone through life not giving a sh-t to what people think of me or what I do chin up Chad.

I don't see why anyone would ever say bad things about someone else's car. Surely we are al here because we love these fine cars? If people choose to customise their car, wouldn't that be entirely up to them? They aren't doing anything wrong, and certainly the fitting of DRLs wouldn't affect anyone in any way.

As a side note, I am sure I read that our cars were fitted with the facility of DRLs, which is activated by some sort of computer? T something (can't remember, sorry). Am I correct in this, and instead of fitting aftermarket ones, wouldn't it be better to use this option?

Default Whatever they say

Hi There

It is up to you.

I took the simple route and fitted LED side lights. I wouldn't personally be brave enought to carry out a mod that involved a lot of fettling. Having said that I admire the fact you took a stance and went with it. Looks great from what I can see do you should be proud of the effect and follow your own beliefs.
