Have done today and he was 100% it was fine iv drove it for a week and done close to 1000 miles....Its genuine and just bad luck.....Its a def for breaking.

If it were me I'd persist and threaten legal action (nicely of course). I'm really sorry, it's a nightmare scenario.

Just one more thing. Did the address and name of seller match the logbook? There's no possiblity it could have been a trader pretending to be a private seller?
