Default Tree sap. Whats best to remove?

Washed my car today and gave a coat of polish. I notice that the roof is covered in little round marks that the polish has not removed, think it could be sap. What is the best way to remove these please. Thank you

As they say, prevention is better than a cure and I find that "chain saw oil" available from B&Q is the best applicaton. Use as directed, in the saw and, you'll find that tree sap is never a problem after that

I think the previous owner may have had trees, I don't have any, so no trip to B&Q required

I agree with Tatts, detailing clay will remove it no problem.
Only trouble is then the roof will polish up better than the rest, and you may feel the need to do the whole car- well worth it though!!!

I'd save it if I was you, they're flogging it on ebay as exotic polish.
