clunk clunk clunk -boot lock
Dear All
Intermittent fault... Lately - when opening the boot ....the lock repeatedly activates, rapidly - sounds like a high speed camera "clunk clunk clunk clunk clunk" - as opposed to the usual one clunk and the boots open It's also set the alarm off a couple of times too when opened the boot with key and doors locked - which has not happpened before either. Any ideas ? Thanks Matt - brighton

Well known problem, referred to as machine gunning. You just need to adjust the boot closure. There are two screw in adjusters one each side of the boot lid, screw in or out and test until the problem goes away

Dear Phil and GG
Thank you both very much for the reply to my message. I would never have found that fix myself. Popping out now to adjust (will try and screw "out" first) Regards and "happy motoring" Matt

Hi Guys, just wanted to say a big thank you for the advise you posted on here.
I too had this exact same problem and was thinking the fault was going to be an electrical problem but your advise has saved me hours of needless fault searching and after a quick adjustment my boot is also now cured. Thanks again. Lee.
