Each front seat has two connectors, each with two wires.

One connector is for the side air bag, the other connector is for the seat belt pretensioner.

Thanks for the info - still not sure if the wires that have been soldered are the correct ones - would the wiring colors be the same on all models (see the colors in my previous post)?
I'm hoping that they have soldered the wrong wires as I'm taking it into the Dealer tomorrow of "open heart surgery" to try to find a faulty component. It would be much simpler (and a lot cheaper) if I could tell them that the wrong wires had been soldered and the fault was in the connectors under the seat

Wiring colours should be as below........

Drivers Side

Pre tensioner brown / brown - red
Air Bag red - orange / red - purple

Passenger Side

Pre tensioner orange / orange - red
Air Bag blue - whie / white - blue
