Default Attention please to Navall 2 Buyers .........

I just wanted to explain in public about the delays on the new Navall 2 shipments. We have had a few teething issues

First ,
the Factory sent the Looms with some Pins Inverted , We tested the Units and found the issue. these are custom looms to make these units as close to plug and play as possible. So , we had to return the looms and have them modified to be correct. I can only say that had they NOT discovered it , it would have made installing and troubleshooting VERY Difficult.

Then there was an Update (You may have seen the saved RDS AM and much more etc) that we opted to have done there, at the factory, before sending to the UK (or other Countries). I felt that since this was our first update on this unit that , if there WAS to be issue that it better be an issue with the Units on the ground there rather than 6000 miles away in the UK !

Next I split the shipments into 3 parts because bringing in too many at one time can cause delays and issues at the Import and the export , this based on past experience ! The issue that we are having now is SPACE constraints by the courier. We are on a waiting list to fly with this weeks shipment which was SUPPOSED to have left last Thursday , to arrive this coming Thursday

We have just received 1 shipment (1/2 delivered on Friday last week and 1/2 yesterday afternoon) We, in one day, managed to turn all of them back out and post them. So those that have them coming , have received tracking.

We are awaiting the 2nd shipment to fly and booking space for the 3rd one now to go next week .

We were NOT sent the promised External Microphones (the built in is there too) on the Last shipment so they are being sent separately and will be posted out to those that want them

While i am not surprised at these things , I do know, again by experience that there are always challenges at the beginning with new products and the technology is changing so very quickly.

I hope that you will bear with us because I will also add that these units are proving out to be better more versatile and better supported than any unit I have ever dealt with.

Keeping you all abreast

I remain

Sean (AKA RadioGuy)

Just a quick thank you to Sean for posting this and keeping everyone in the loop so to speak.

Rest assured we are going to get these out as quickly as possible to everyone and I think you will find it's been worth the wait

The updates that have been made to the interface have been well thought out and add to the user experience.
This is the first time with any of the double dins that the iPod interface has been fully integrated and works smoothly.
The Rds interface has also been worked on and looks very good.
Having got the first units ready and dispatched I was also very impressed with the speed the unit loaded software on.
I've never seen navigation software load so quickly

Anyhow,
We will be getting these out to you as quickly as possible guys and girls and then you can all play

What's the connection for an external mic? Is it a standard fitment or a special? Also how much to add one to my order?

On a side note: if I want a "custom" background on the screen how do I go about it?

Cheers.

Are the external mic's the same as the ones for the navall1?

If they are might save sending them back if you are trading in?

External mics? - I'd seriously be up for one of them, I'll even pay you for it!
