Default Bridge Camera

I fancy having a dabble with a bridge camera instead of my little one, albeit 15megapixel.Any suggestions from the experts Don't need anything too complicated,as i can't walk & chew gum at the same time.

I'm definitely NOT an expert - but for around £120, the Fujifilm FinePix S4500 gives 14 megapixels and a pretty massive optical zoom. I have one of its predecessors and it gives me superb results - especially when set to auto, so I can't mess up the settings! It has the added advantage of having a normal viewfinder as well as the screen - very useful outdoors in strong sunlight.
Fuji do quite a range of bridge cameras - certainly worth a look.

If the sun shines, I'll nip down to Redcar next week and take some photos of YOUR side of the Tees Bay and post 'em for you.

I used a bridge (Fuji S5000) for years before going to a DSLR. I couldn't believe the difference in the image quality and they don't have to be complicated, they all have a point and shoot AUTO setting. There are plenty of DSLRs in the 2nd hand market for under £200 now, worth looking at? Have a search on Ebay for a DSLR kit, means body, charger, at least one lens and more.

Ronnie, don't do it!

Go straight for a top of the range DSLR and all the lenses and other kit otherwise you'll just end up trying to change it in the future ..... you know, like you did with your car.
