Default Rover/MG Sales after April 2005

My own car was first registered in November 2005 although built on March 16th, 2005. It ha been sat on a disused Runway somewhere near to Longbridge. So what happened to that huge stock of already built (and the later hand-finished) cars? Did the Receivers Auction them off? Did the (still trading) Rover Dealers buy them direct from the Receivers and then arrange to transport then over to their own Showrooms? How long could they continue to sell cars that were no longer being made?

Where can this information be found?

(BTW I do know that the whole Spares activity was taken over by Caterpillar and that some trading still contnues.)

Guidance please!
