Default Meeting Club 75June 2019 (Whitsun) Germany

“Club 75” International Meeting Whitsun Schleswig 2019 (Northern Germany)

Dear Rover 75 and MG ZT friends,
We ‘re looking forward to show you a part of Schleswig Holstein, that has a greater commitment with our Rover than that one would think.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvVymqlsSvg

The logo of Rover is a viking ship. That fits very well with our meeting place Schleswig and Haithabu with his Viking history. The importance of the Viking settlement has now been recognized by UNESCO since several months and Haithabu has been designated archaeological world heritage with its defensive work "Danevirke".
For enthusiasts for English automobiles it might be interesting to know that the region "Angeln" (between Schleswig and Flensburg) is the name giver of "England". It were the "Angeliter", who went to Great Britain before the Viking age.

Schleswig Holstein has a complicated history.British Prime Minister Lord Palmerston proclaimed in 1864 that there were only three people who would understand the Schleswig Holstein question."Prince Albert, he is dead; a German professor, he has gone mad; and I, who haveforgotten everything, otherwise I would have gone mad too ".
Anyway, today Danes, Frisians and Germans live together peacefully. A real example for convergence in Europe.

So a warm welcome
to the land between the seas.

Marta & Wolfgang

Hi Stephen,

Thank you.

You are most welcome, with previous meetings we always had some cars that especially came over from the United Kingdom.
As you can see for this meeting until now already one English member signed up.

So feel free to join us, that would be great.

Cheers,

Pim
