Saw one of these recently, Rolls-Royce Cullinan, talk about fugly!!! Totally devoid of any style, looked like a black cab on steroids! Even if I won Euro millions this car would never be on my shopping list. What were Rolls Royce thinking?!?!

Earlier this summer, within a 5 minute span I saw a white Bentley Bentayga with red pinstriping and a white Cullinan with red pinstriping.
The Cullinan actually made the Bentayga look good!

On looks I have to agree on those cars posted above and add the Mini Clubman, and its derivatives. That car has now morphed into one ugly object.

My horror never to be touched ever again brand has to be one that so many find great. Hyundai in my experience of owning two from brand new is they are less reliable than anything I've ever owned, or had as a company car and that list is now over thirty. Even the much maligned Morris Marina (sorry Brian) was overall much more reliable than a modern Hyundai. Mine may have been in the garage every two weeks with something breaking but the mileage covered by them was high. The Hyundai's however had to be restricted in their use because of both of them having pathetic engine management reliability causing regular breakdowns, poor running, and engines cutting out whilst driving. The dealers were unable to sort the problems out totally, or were stopped from investigating the problems by Hyundai's policies on fixing cars. If the computer says no but its not running properly and cutting out then tough. Add on to that clutch issues that Hyundai admitted were caused by a design fault that they failed to fix and then said they had no answer for so couldn't and wouldn't attempt to fix.

Never again

I had a BX 1.6, a lovely comfortable car, but the hydraulic suspension was a nightmare. It was always going wrong, the front wouldn't rise sometimes but the back would.
Had to get two new front globes and the height corrector stripped down , greased and rebuilt.

I was stuck with this for 2 weeks on holiday.

I have never driven such an underpowered piece of ****

A whole 1 litre of 3 cylinder petrol engine. More power in my lawn mower.
And as for the steering, I thought I was going to topple on most bends.

The r75 was better in all respects other than wind/tyre noise.

I too am lumbered with one of these on holiday right now. I thought Kia were making good cars these days, errrr wrong. This thing flatters to deceive though. First impressions were ok but I very quickly learned that this is no more than tarted up white goods. The steering is electric and is ridiculously light and totally devoid of any feel whatsoever, you may as well be steering with an X-Box controller, it feels that disconnected. The interior door panels are all hard scratchy plastic along with the dash and it just feels cheap. Oh and the gear change is abysmal too. Any redeeming features? Got plenty of gizmos and kit I guess........ But just has no substance!

So there, it makes my list for a nightmare car, and I'm living it right now!

Here's mine for starters: Ford Focus - clear proof that Ford have lost their Mojo after the brilliant originality of the Mark 3 Escort, Mark 1 Sierra and original Focus. Today's offering is (IMHO) dull, derivative and easily mistaken for a dreary Korean hatchback. Highly subjective of course, but that's the point of this thread.
Any SUV or 4x4 that tucks into the SUV profile.

Not needed, look horrendous, far too big, cram local car parks but hey the driver and passenger can laud it and look down on their minions.

Rant over

They do but it has conditions and some parts are not included. Many owners complain on line of clutch issues that develop that have the same symptoms as mine which they agreed was their fault. Mine developed at low mileage but as the clutch only has a three year warrantee, and that is only covered if its not worn out, many took their cars in coming up to three years and get the bums rush. Told pay £600.00 plus up front and we will remove clutch, inspect it and then tell you if its covered. When they can go to an independent and get a new clutch fitted for less than half that, that's what they do.

Mine wasn't a problem fitting the first at 6000 miles but when the replacement redesigned one went the same way at 8000 miles they didn't want to know. All they would say was that they didn't have an answer and we're not going to do anything about it. When I asked what happens if this gives out they said we will have to see how old it is and condition.

The second one, re engineered with re designed gearbox suffered mechanical noises from two weeks old from the clutch. Took them over a year to fix it, in that time the car only covered 1750 miles because of it. Eventually full of apologies fixed it when it was about to disintegrate.

Both cars had engine management issues that caused breakdowns the first was never sorted out. It ran like a diesel it was so rough, had massive flat spots making it not a nice drive. No power over 4000 RPM, in fact it would not rev beyond that making it a pig to overtake, go up hills and pull out onto fast roads. It would run on three cylinders after a slowing down from motorway speeds making it dangerous trying to pull away from junctions. Took a few hundred yards to clear then ran ok for that car. Rubbish fuel consumption. They couldn't find anything wrong with it and wouldn't investigate properly because they said Hyundai would not let them, pay for labour or any parts to try to fix it. On line searchers found that I was not alone in having a car with these problems, and some Kia's which have the same engines and chassis suffered the same issues.

The second one broke down on its second day with 150 miles on the clock. Engine management fault, took them over two weeks to fix it. Then the clutch issues started on this one so it didn't get used much at all whilst we argued. Wouldn't trust it to go anywhere any way. As said above took them a year to admit it had a fault and fix it, two days later its back in on an RAC transporter, engine management. Another two weeks to fix it, they are rubbish. Ran ok then until it had 4000 on the clock. Then the engine started cutting out whilst driving on the move. Suddenly all the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and dead. Would always restart but scary and dangerous. Hyundai's response was as usual, nothing wrong, computer says no faults. Eventually I caught it just before it cut out. The immobiliser light came on and car shut down. Took it back told them, nothing wrong. It went back every couple of weeks and always the same, they didn't give a toss about trying to find the problem. Customer care is zero and the 5 year 100,000 mile warrantee means nothing to them.

At 4750 miles, I had to stop using it again just daren't drive it, it went to webuyanycar.com. No way was I going to buy another new car or pass this junk onto an unsuspecting private buyer. My ZT-T became my daily driver until repeated clutch issues forced me into the Volvo. Now that is reliable.

Got to agree on the Juke/Joke (bad one) What is the point of a tall car if you can't have comfortable suspension? Restless and jittery, the whole thing felt tinny and plasticy, as someone else said, designed to be (quickly) recycled, despite the one we were loaned being top of range, with leather seats. My son's 2010 ,1.1L Picanto 2, owned (and thrashed) by him from new for over 90,000 miles, has been totally reliable, unlike the low milage, main dealer supplied, older Picanto 1 my daughter bought on the strength of his experience, which had exactly the experience you describe with your Hyundai (Kia clones), of regular, non-recorded engine management faults causing jerking, misfires, no-starts, various sensors and other parts being swapped randomly by the dealer. A friend with a larger, Kia diesel estate has had 170,000 trouble free miles and counting. Son's Picanto is also a nimble and comfortable car to drive, for a small car, and the seats didn't cripple me on longer commutes, unlike my previous Audi A4 .
