Default Auto gearbox problem ....

I need some info please...I m kind of desperate ...
This morning when i tried to park in a narrow street and used R (auto gearbox) ...I ve heard a noise ...and thats it!!! No Reverse....
The car seems to use the R ( I feel the little pull on the brakes) but even if use more gas it doesnt moove
I think it mooves a bit when i use D or 4 3 2 but no R...
The serious problem that concerns me is that Greece is in Capital controls state and I cant even buy spare parts from UK
Any ideas on what that would be???
Can i use- adapt a manual gearbox on my 2.0 Kv6??
Sorry for my bad English ...IM desperate.....

I suggest you first check the gearbox oil level & top up if required.
(note that there is a procedure for checking level & the correct fluid must used)
The procedure can be found on here using the 'search' function.

To be honest, it sounds like reverse piston failure (a common failure).

I would suggest however that you also check the driveshafts are ok & one hasn't popped out.

With regards to converting to manual, replace the car.

Check the voltages on the solenoids before doing anything drastic...
