Default Reversing sensors not working

Going through the problems with my 75.

Latest one I'm thinking about is the reversing sensors.

There's no noise at all. No beeps or anything.

The reversing lights come on and I've checked the sounder by opening the door with the lights on.

My searching for no sound seems to involve the gearbox switch which is ok on mine with the lights working. Any other search results involve buzzing/beeping which I don't have.

Any clues where to look?

on older cars the sensor sounder is under the parcel shelf at the back of the car...

when you put it in reverse do the sensors Click when you put your ear next to them?

So it's not on the ipk? That's what I read elsewhere. I'll have to track down the speaker in the daylight.

2 out of the 4 sensors click. So they'll be replaced.

What colour is the reverse parking sensor ECU located in the boot on the RHS behind the trim?
The black one is the old one with the sounder in the rear. The grey one is the newer one which uses the IPK sounder.

No idea!

Just checked the RAVE cd and got the following pic;

Looking at the pic you posted. There should be no wiring coming though the vent with crimps attached (at least as standard).

Are you sure nobody retrofitted parking sensors and took the wiring to the bumper through the vent?

I think you need to drop the rear bumper and trace the wiring from the sensors back to the parking ECU.
