Spares for Pela oil pump?
Anyone know if the Pela plastic tube that is inserted into the dipstick is available to purchase separately?
Mine has gotten scuffed/punctured and is now sucking air instead of oil.

I would imagine that they will be available on the manufacturers website.

If it's holed why not try some cable heat shrink wrap. You could probably do the whole length all at once for less than a fiver.

Eamonn,

Some else asked this question a while ago. I suggested the plastic coated curtain wire used for hanging net curtains. Try Amazon or Dunelm Mill.

So how is the original black flexi (with the micro thin outer surface) changed with the curtain net type? At the junction with the clear plastic section of piping??

It always worked fine on 75 V6 and 75 diesel. Then tried it on my son's Focus. The pipe got stuck on the sump baffle(s) and it took ages to wriggle it free and when it eventually came out the outer black plastic was damaged at the tip. I pulled the black pipe out of the rubber joint (where it joins the clear pipe). I removed all trace of oil from the damaged end, applied some superglue then pushed it into the rubber joint. It works fine since the repair. I will buy some curtain rail if the sump end becomes damaged again but hopefully it won't as I won't be using it on the Focus.
