My ROVER 75 is 2001 year models, connoisseur 2.5L 5AT.
The body color is British racing green.

The wheel is Techno Motor Works (TMW) 16-1.
The spec is 18 inch 8J inset+38.
Hey! Taka, what reputation does the Rover 75 have over in Japan, what do people think of the 75 compared to the new Roewe 750.

I like the wheels.

Not so sure about the bodywork though.

The WHOLE concept of the Rover 75 is gentle curves and lines. The sharp edges tend to clash with the overall appearance of SLEEK ELEGANCE which was the aim of the body design team.

Looks different,but------------------

But not for me.

PS. Like pulling a petal off a rose and then asking people to admire it.

Rover 75 won the first prize of "Japan import car of the year" in 2000.
Unfortunately, many people did not know about ROVER cars.
One of the reason is bankrupt of ROVER and the rest reason is that
Japanese prefer BMW, AUDI, Mercedes and Lexus as a status car.
Thus, almost Japanese do not know about the existence of rower 750.

Rover 75's and MG ZT's command higher prices in Japan but every one that I have seen at auction are 2.5L engined.

Did they ever bring any other engine variants to Japan?

I just imported a 1996 Rover 220 Turbo Coupe from Japan and here is a sticker that was on the back window.
