Meguiars 3 step

Anybody used the Meguiars 3 step system, paint cleanser - polish - wax, is it worth the money and effort?

I've used it in the past when first getting into washing cars. It's average at best. I would simply just wash the car, 2 bucket method, clay it and polish and wax. Or if you want to take it further, use tar and iron remover also before claying.

It's not bad to be fair. Does take time to do though, especially if you clay first.

I still use it from time to time, usually topped off with Collinite 476.

Just take your time with it. Clawing imo is very important to get the most out of it. You'll be amazed how much contaminates will come off the car. I advise doing claying once or twice a year. You don't have to keep polishing it. Polish it once then add protection and maintain the protection throughout the year and using correct washing techniques, the car will look good all year round

Alison prefers Meguiars. She says she feels prettier and cleaner for longer. I prefer it because the product I used before- Farecla- takes ages and the compound seems to mask rather that remove fine scratches.

Also the beading effect of Meguiars is noticeably longer lasting.

All round more expensive but easier to apply and better results.

I treat Alison to this twice a year.
