best mpg i had so far...
the other day i drove from my house in west london to northampton 199 miles (160 roundtrip + 39 miles drive around town for two days). ZTT diesel used only just over a quarter of tank. it is quite impressive considering i averaged 75-80mph on the motorway.
maybe the new splitter helped a bit. |

I regularly get well over 550 miles from an indicated 3/4 of a tank. Enormously satisfying for me when my previous vehicle was a 4.0L V8 petrol Discovery Edit - sorry! - just seen your other post - doh!! Last edited by Darcydog; 16th March 2016 at 18:07.. |

I always chuckle at the 53 54 mpg figures often quoted.

I have nudged 50mpg and achieved it once after a long motorway drive.
This winter has been about 44 mpg on average. Last sumer averaged 47 mpg which considering a fair chunk of my driving is urban and country with occasional long motorway hauls is fine by me! So happy with that - in fact I am deeply impressed. |

Hi Sean. I don't know why you chuckle. Is it because you do not believe that it's true?

Auto as well and I can get it to show (and stay at) about 45/46mpg if I set it as I join a motorway but as with you it's usually about 35mpg. I had a car that claimed to do over 50mpg all the time but I really don't notice filling up any more often so who cares really

>>>Average around town is mid-low 40's although in summer this did go up to 46.3<<<
My auto wont go into 4th gear at 30 mph, in fact it struggles to change up to 3rd at that speed. Ipso Facto my mpg is limited to about 30 mpg under those conditions. ... |
