As it's been such a cold day, I had a nice warm snack at lunchtime -
  • a tin of Mulligatawny soup
  • a Stilton cheese sandwich
  • a piece of homemade chocolate spongecake (with a raspberry jam filling in the middle)
  • a mug of cappuccino, well laced with Captain Morgans Spiced Rum
Been quite warm all afternoon - WITHOUT the heating on

Must admit, the temperature has plummeted outside - looks like another hard frost coming up tonight.

Hello! How is everyone? I'm back and refreshed after a much needed break away with extended family. Got back to work and was called into the office... due to someone else's mistake, a bus route was cut short. Yet I was asked to explain? So I was extremely firm with them and stuck to the facts.

I'm on a bus stand with a defective bus. Headlamps inoperative. Warning on dashboard and everything! I called them to report at 15:28. They asked me to drive the bus to a point where the engineers would meet me. I refused and quoted a list of PG 9 defects that I downloaded from the DVSA...

Now waiting for an engineer.

You tell em Stu, !! For all you non bus/wagon drivers, PG9 is a vehicle defect form issued by the traffic commissioners, to a vehicle which is prohibited from service until the defect(s) are rectified, other than to be driven back to the depot.

I'll always tell it as it is! They're on at us all the time and I have had enough of being treated like a doormat! I got a grade 1 score last week. A plain clothes observation. Grade 1 is the highest possible score. I was just handed the letter by a controller. However when there's lost mileage as a result of something clearly out of my control, I get called into the office.

I'm going to start singing like a hot canary...

Lol! So, just to recap, I arrived on the stand at 16:40, an hour and eight minutes after reporting the headlamp problem. Now both headlamp bulbs have been replaced...

No need for them, you just start breathing fire, that will, light the way back to the depot, just continue to breathe it in the face of the controller. Be he fat or not.
