Spoke to a nice policeman yesterday, he said he had been aware of the car since early November. It was sold by a private seller in Rugby, then the next owner sold it on quickly to someone in the army at a barracks near sleaford.

The policeman said that he would contact the last owner again (he is being very evasive) and see if he can obtain the keys 😎 if not he will charge the owner with abandonment.

As far as I can see is all you've done is saved the council the effort/expense of doing it themselves.

This is quite amazing. Just read the whole thread. Well done. Wonder why it was potentially abandoned, though...

I wish someone rescued the lovely 75 that was parked near the forth bridge last year. I had put it up in the spotted section at the time. It was there for ages and I think it went to the crusher in the end.

Interesting!

"aware of the car since early November." I posted on the 17th when it had been there for around a week, probably less. So they had it on their radar for perhaps a week or more before that? Sure it wasn't were you collected it from before that, so wonder what the story is?

"someone in the army at a barracks near sleaford". Not sure where this is. Plenty of RAF round here of course, but Army?

"if not he will charge the owner with abandonment" Is this an actual thing then?!

Drove past the spot today, and seemed odd not to see the car there, and be able to post up about it!

I was down that way yesterday Dave, my phone rang so i pulled over in the gateway where the car was, it was the police phoning about the car! Wierd coincidence eh?

Would have been funny if you had spotted a blue 75 in there instead....
