Went the day well?
Not!!!!!!!!! Had a sticky front caliper a while now, made do with cleaning and regreasing over the winter as I don't use it much. Decided to bite the bullet and ordered a new caliper, It's the only original one left so 21 years old isn't bad
Any road up, nice day today, tools out, carpet out, set to. Caliper came off easy as I've done it a few times, but the flexi wouldn't budge Started rounding it off so had a look at removing from the union. Had a brake spanner for years but could I find it? Nope. Then noticed the rubber was coming adrift from the caliper and leaking New pipe ordered, new spanner ordered. Cleaned all around the union end and sprayed with Plus gas while I wait. Does the bracket holding the pipe just pull off? Also, does anyone have a length of tether as I'm coming to the end of mine |

Possibly Halfords sell tether and rag. Whenever I go there I lose one and reach the end of the other.
