Just a thought, and probably one you've already had, but keep an eye on the MTPLM, if you are going to tow with a 75 or ZT. IIRC the max that any will pull is 1600kg and sadly you'll struggle to find a twin axle van that will be less than this

We had a Bailey Senator Wyoming and loved it. It was exactly as you describe above.
For us it was like having a luxury hotel room that we took with us However - to tow it at 1,759kg we had to accept that we needed a substantial tow vehicle. For me that was a Discovery and this towed it with ease. I think you will find most TA caravans are around this weight. To tow it with a 75/ZT - would have been folly IMO as the caravans weight would be a couple of hundred kg more than the cars kerbweight. As a caravaner of many years - my advice is not to exceed the 85% of kerb weight rule of thumb. This means a sensible maximum caravan weight of 1300kg is a sensible upper limit. |

As Dave has already said in the first reply, firstly what towcar do you have? For a twin axle caravan you would need a 4x4, such as a Discovery or something of that size,as most family saloons will not have the towing capacity.
This was one of the features that attracted me to the 75,the large towing capacity, that along with the cam belt free diesel engine.

One thing to look at is the types of sites you can visit, believe it or not but there are sites out there that do not like twin wheel base vans.
A bit like some sites do not like 'Hobby' caravans as they are generally referred to as 'travellers' caravans..... as in the Gypsy type traveller.
