Lightbulb A very special event for Ni/Roi members - Saturday 25th February 2012

Working away in the background as usual, ive put together something that I believe we all would aspire to!

Saturday 25th of February 2012
Time - To be confirmed, mid day most likely.
Location - 16 Gortnagarn Road, Omagh, Co Tyrone, BT78 5NW (Two miles outside of Omagh town)
Cost - NOTHING!!!!

The Abingdon Collection represents over 45 years of passionate collecting and is divided into two very distinct areas of interest. The collection is open by appointment only and is open to visitors free of charge, but contributions are gratefully accepted in aid of Cancer Research.

The first part of the collection focuses on Classic Cars and Motorcycles as follows:

Classic Cars

1953 MGTD
1957 MGA Fixed Head Coupe
1968 MGC
1980 MGB
1978 Porsche 911 SC
1986 Opel Manta GTE
1983 Ford Capri 2.8i
1997 BMW 328i (show car)
2010 Mazda MX5 (anniversary model)

Motor Cycles

1972 Triumph Bonneville
1993 Kawasaki 1000 Highway Patrol Bike
2006 Harley Davidson Low Rider

All vehicles are in fully restored condition in this private collection and im making arrangements for us all to visit it and experience it.

The Collection is complemented by over 500 die cast model cars, photographs, enamel signs, jukeboxes, radios and automobilia. If you lived through the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s or just like big boy’s toys, then there is definitely something here for you, and if your just that bit to young, you can see what all the fuss was about!

Additionally the second part of the collection concentrates on World War Two and represents one of the largest collections in private ownership, with over 3000 items on permanent display.

More than 65 years after the war ended, many have forgotten the supreme sacrifice that so many had to make. This collection is in memory of them all.

---------------------

As usual, those who are interested please add your name to the list below, and obviously children and welcomed to encourage them to be part of the experience!!!
