Cool

Seeing as I'm still not allowed out I've revived a model I started on a few years ago. K & R Models MG ZR Express Van. Painted in Chrome Yellow, at the time it was the nearest I could get to Sunspot. (No Express Vans were ever produced in Sunspot that I'm aware of).

Also photo's of my other Flying Banana along with towing vehicle.

Plus old conversion on another innocent Rover.

I've just ordered a second hand ZT model,

Not sure of the true condition, but being as I intend to strip it and repaint it like your good self, It's not that important.

I hope I can do as good a job as you have!

Love the flying banana's!

My Vanguards model has arrived today!

I'm not sure I'm going to repaint it though.
It's in too nice a condition for me to make a mess of it!
Oh, and it's banana yellow too!!

(My wife says I'm sad for buying it) LOL!

It will be Trophy Yellow. If you paid a lot for it then best leave it.

I go to toy fairs to see if I can damaged/played with models. Trouble is I find other models to buy.

I paid £16 including postage.

I was quite prepared to strip and repaint Royal Blue, but it is scratch and blemish free.
The box is a little tatty, but not too bad.

I'm not sure.
I do so much want a replica, it's a while since I've done one and seeing how good yours is has got me fired to to do another one, plus this will be my first MG ZT !

I plan to convert an old one into a ZTT. But that is on hold as I have a few models to build for other people.

Had help from Zed, well more like hindrance at times, but bless him.

Still working on the model, my arthritis doesn't help much but we are getting there. Stripped the shell, and applied the primer coat then the base Yellow and finally the top coat of Sunspot. Will need lacquering once the intricate parts are refitted.

Anyway here is a few photo's.

1-1/18th scale MG 3 next to the 1/43rd scale MG ZT
2-ZT fully stripped of parts.
3-Paint stripper doing it's job.
4-White primer on.
5-Just a dusting of white primer on the interior.
man i love this tread you a legend
