Default Tail pipe choice

Hi all,

I've got my ZT-T CDTi booked in for a Powerflow exhaust on Thursday and I'm wondering what people would suggest for tail pipes.

I've initially selected 2 x round chrome tailpipes to sit level with each other, but the guy in the garage suggested staggering the pipes so they match the curve of the bumper. I initially dismissed this, but I've now seen a BMW 5 series with staggered pipes and it looked good.

It's an expensive thing to get wrong

Only advice I could give here is to go with what your heart tells you, and don’t be dissuaded by other people’s choices.
It’s your car after all.👍

I've got staggered on mine, think they do suit it better personally if you're going for twin pipes, otherwise the left pipe sticks out very far from the bumper whilst the right pipe is in line with the bumper.

Here's mine:

I went for the slightly staggered tail pipes fitted to the quietest box they do, even thought this is the quietest box they do, the exhaust is slightly louder than a standard, but quiet on the motorway when using the cruise control.

I've got to say I'm quite happy

Just my personal preference, but go with the staggered.
I think they look great!

It's one of many things on my " to do " list with my car.

Great choice, that tail pipe looks awesome

The stainless boxes are always louder than OEM, had one fitted on my dad's 75 and went for the quietest option. Can't hear it from inside the car but is a bit louder when standing behind the car, although does make a nice sound

Go for something understated and elegant, not a hollow dustbin that chavs fit to their Subaru's and civics
