I tried that but it doesn't work for me.--

HOWEVER, I make two separate entries into the forum.

Then I copy the message I've just typed and post it on the second forum entry. Works every time.

This is because I sometimes lose the message completely in the first forum entry and there's no getting it back.

I only do this if the message is looooooooooong.----

and it would kill me to lose it.

before posting anything 'ctrl A' 'ctrl C' then if it is lost, click on the reply again, and 'ctrl z'

My browser is Chrome, perhaps that makes a difference. (when you get the 'page cannto be displayed' perhaps clicking on reload at that point - if you get 'confirm form resubmission' at that point, I believe it may work. It also suggests an issue locally (ie your computer/browser - I dont know enough about computers to say what). If it simply says 'cannot display' everytime, it is a problem with your connection dropping out, I think.

I have recently received a new battery via courier. It came well packed up, and full of warnings (quite scary actually if you didnt realise what it was lol). One of the warnings was to remove the red transport plugs, which I believe are to reduce the risk of spillage and gas. My previous battery also had these holes where the plugs went into. Since gas builds up whilst it is charged, perhaps you should remove them?

Yikes. Your picture is as big as the wall in my room. How did you do that ???????

PS. There should be a standard very small vent hole and most batteries have it to prevent pressure build up.

Yes, sorry Alan. The mix up proves my point nicely! I've corrected my original post.

again Simon, CTRL - will sort it quickly, and then CTRL + will restore.

(⌘ - and ⌘ + if on a mac)

It is simple and quicker than typing out a complaint.

Sorry guys. I'm struggling with pictures. Just installed Tapatalk. First attempt sent nothing, then second did these wall- sized pictures. They looked OK on my phone. I tried to load the pics from my phone onto my usual laptop and in frustration two other desktops and they all froze. I guess Win 10 doesn't like 5320 photos on an iPhone! I tried Tapatalk as a solution to avoid having to transfer photos from my phone to my desktop/laptop before posting. I'll attempt to delete the photos and try again. I love computers. I really do!

I found a drain tube which goes through a grommet to the outside from the left side of the battery. I left the right side transport plug in so any excess battery gases must go through the left side and out of the car.

My last battery wasn't connected to the drain and both plugs were out. The baseplate was badly corroded, so I took everything out, wire brushed and repainted all corroded areas with Hammerite, and am hoping this is a solution. All advice welcome though.

Was trying to resize the pictures but I think Edward deleted the post before I could edit them. Anyhow, I've put them here and can always delete my post later
