yes its all back together now with manual and remote and put away in dry storage. it needs probably just a resolder of the gate to the board. quite doable with a pencil iron and good eyes and steady hand ! ribbon is still in there too and is accessible from just under the top cover 4 screws and it lifts up and off. the unit was not used much at all so could be good to go with a little tlc. I have looked after it for now until my new unit is here/fitted and up and running.the car sits outside with a gapeing hole in the dash wires everywhere hanging out …. looks a sorry site for herself. I will keep the unit safe and dry for now until im ready to decide what to do with it just in case I want to plug a hole again if my new unit does not arrive or is faulty and I need to drive the car again …. thanks to AJD1 for his help too. regards ...
