I loved BGJ273B my Morris Mini Super. The MK1 definitely had the most character.
When you compare a brand new mini to an old one the latest are not mini in my eyes, must nearly be as big as a Mondeo.
My vote goes for the genuine article.

Love the old Minis. The new ones aren’t a patch on them. It’s not even a mini anyway. It’s a bus!

We own both, MINI isn’t a car as such like mini but a brand, completely different

'Marmite' Possibly one of the most famous 75 tourers produced! left the production line as the last of only Three Rover 75 tourers produced in Trophy Yellow. 48 hours later Longbridge closed. The last sold ordered 75 Tourer. Paid for by the Phoenix Four and handed over by John Towers to the Warwickshire Northampton Air ambulance service as a Rapid Response vehicle

The original Mini was a blast to drive, after the Austin A40 I had it was fantastic. I can still remember the registration number of my old Mini SDB 261 (1959 vintage, I wish I had it now). I've no idea how the BMW mini drives as I've never been in one. The only mini I'd have these days would be the upcoming Mini EV.
