I loved BGJ273B my Morris Mini Super. The MK1 definitely had the most character.
When you compare a brand new mini to an old one the latest are not mini in my eyes, must nearly be as big as a Mondeo. My vote goes for the genuine article.

Love the old Minis. The new ones aren’t a patch on them. It’s not even a mini anyway. It’s a bus!

We own both, MINI isn’t a car as such like mini but a brand, completely different

The original Mini was a blast to drive, after the Austin A40 I had it was fantastic. I can still remember the registration number of my old Mini SDB 261 (1959 vintage, I wish I had it now). I've no idea how the BMW mini drives as I've never been in one. The only mini I'd have these days would be the upcoming Mini EV.
