Nearly bought a Bordeaux saloon but it was a coupe I wanted, the saloon was a far better example but it was also 4 grand dearer

I think that the coupé is far more rakish than the saloon. You've made the best purchase possible.

I can't tell you what they are like to drive - but my uncle had one back in the day, and having spent many a mile as a passenger as a 7 to 10 year old - I consider them to be the dogs danglies.

My dad used to run jags around the same time, so I was always disappointed by the P5's dash, but there is a reason why Government ministers were using them long after they had gone out of production.
