Default Meteor wheels or not?

Are Meteor wheels sufficiently robust for a Rover v8? They are rated 17"x7J. Star Spokes are rated 17"x7^1/2J.

They aren't on the list they're not approved.

Registered thus blue but not yet green so can't view the thread unfortunately. It seems I need to be an owner of a v8 whereas I am at present looking to buy a v8. A fine but apparently important difference.

No 17" MG/rover wheels fit the V8 other than Starspoke wheels which were standard on the 75 V8, with the 18" Vortex being an optional extra.

All 18" MG/Rover wheels fit the V8

That's a pity. I rather like Meteors.

Only owners of these fine cars get access to all the information that the guys who run the forum have taken years and lots of hard work to put together. You also have to be a member of the MGOC. Good luck with your hunt for a 260

Resurrecting an old thread. A confirmation regarding v8 compatible 18" wheels, if possible please. Namely: Hairpins, Straights, Grid Spoke and Eleven Spoke are all usable; in addition to Apex and Vortex. Any of these considered inadvisable?

Hairpins are the only ones not validated by MGR for use on the V8.
