exhaust rattle
Hi there my name is Adam and this is my first ever post so here goes. My mg zt 190 has got a really bad rattle in the exhaust so i put on a 200 cell sports cat and a free flow exhaust hoping the rattle would go but no its still there the rattle now seems to be in the down pipes or i should say in the rear down pipe just before the flexi pipe i tried removing the main cat and stuck a magnet in there but there seems to be some thing in the way does this car have a precat and has any and got any ideas what could be rattling and moving around in the rear down pipe please helpl

I believe there is a pre-cat in the V6 system. In the early days, I remember reading about them coming adrift and rattling.
Maybe this will help: http://www.rimmerbros.co.uk/Item--i-GRID001949 TC |

Hi there do you no if my MG ZT 190 will pass a MOT if i smash out the pre cat? cause i dont need the main cat cause ive just fitted a 200 cell sports cat so i dont want to pay £500 for the pre cat and main cat if im not going to need the main cat if that makes sence.
