Mine did same as I rebled radiator as per instructions on here and been perfect since also emptied flushed and redid coolant and rebled and still perfect

Just read through this whole thread and can concur that lobbing in a dishwasher tab does indeed dissolve and shift most of the crud, but you need to drop the whole lot out before it cools completely, so no driving around for days afterwards with it still in there.
The other thing that jumps out at me is the possibility of the leakfix blocking the oil cooler, highly possible I would say.

Stupid question but how do you fully remove the coolant, as some will stay within the engine block and in other locations.
Do you mean flush it out with water after using a dish washer tab and so on before then finally filling up with fresh coolant?

Yes, but I would remove one side of the pipework to the heater matrix to make sure its flushed.
Dump, flush, fill with water, dump, fill with coolant, bleed.

You should also take out the block plug as well when you are flushing it out.
