Tell me about it! I've had all sorts of comments, often very good about the car but an odd choice for a 25 year old, apparently! What do they know

That is one clean looking 75 and your P6s look good too

I used to get those comments too, I usually find taking them out and scaring them half to death shuts them up.

Thanks for the positive comments, chaps!
I've just bought a full chrome front grille on ebay, so hopefully that'll arrive in the next few days, and I'll get it fitted to the car. Gave it a quick wash this evening, and it's looking okay!
Service booked for next week, but hopefully won't need too much!

You really have got it bad!

Lovely looking 75. I really do rate the Collinite 476s too, it just beads for eternity!

The P5b Coupe looked lovely, well all your collection does.

Keep the updates coming

Oh, how's LPG working out for you? What system did you go for? Any regrets? Real world cost comparison?

Just nosey really!

Thanks Tom!
The LPG, so far, has been absolutely brilliant. The conversion was done when my father bought the car from me, and has been in it for about a year now. The system is an OMVL one with the latest injectors, at the time. It switches onto LPG pretty quickly from cold, within less than a miles, and once it's been used once in a day, if there's any sort of residual heat, it'll start straight onto gas again, which is great! The only regret is that the tank my father chose is one that sits in the boot, rather than under the floor, as is the case in both of my parents' LPG'd cars. I don't mind the filling of it with LPG too much, though I know some people find it irritating. I get through about £15 of petrol a month, but I do a big mileage. In terms of MPG, I'm not losing much at all. The conversion has definitely been worthwhile, and I haven't ever had any issues with it, as some people seem to have with LPG. The conversion wasn't the cheapest, but it was worth paying a bit more for such a tidy, and good quality one.

There's not been a great deal to report on the 75 as of late, as it did plenty of miles over the course of the summer, without any hiccups, other than the exhaust beginning to blow rather spectacularly while on a weekend away in the Lake District at the end of August. On my return, I replaced the back box with a Bosal item, which, to my mind, is excellent from a refinement perspective.
The MOT was last week, and it required quite a few bits and bobs, some I expected, others I didn't. I knew the handbrake was becoming an issue, and that it needed new rear discs, so it's had new rear discs, pads, handbrake shoes, and a handbrake compensator. It also transpired, when looking at the discs that it had a pair of cracked rear springs, which have also both been replaced, as have the droplinks for the anti-rolll bar, and a one front wishbone. The transformation in the way the car drives is impressive! It suddenly feels like a much fresher car, once again, ready to cover many more miles.
At the same time, it's had a service, and no nasties were thrown up there.

I've just read this and it certainly makes interesting reading. Love the p5s. Also love your p6 I have had a p6 in the past in tobacco leaf. Keep posting as I am always interested in what you are doing
Makes a nice change to see another young person with the same taste in cars as me. All the best Thomas

Good to hear it's been largely trouble free. Only wear and tear items needed which is a bonus

Hope it gives many more trouble free miles

This weekend, I've been home from uni, and just taking the 75 out for drives for no other reason other than wanting to go for a drive!
It was interesting to see how much better it was to drive in light of all of the pre-MOT work. I drove in a manner not entirely befitting a 75 at times, but, with the manual box, the 2.0 is a very agreeable companion, which sounds rather delightful. The ride quality is back to its usual magic carpet standard, and the brakes are a bit better than they've been for a while. It's never fails to impress me, how well a 75 copes with being pressed on hard.
Today, I decided it was only fair that I give the car a proper clean, consisting of a very thorough wash, with the arches, and underneath being a priority. I then gave it a couple of coats of Autoglym super resin polish, and a quick coat of Collinite 476. Tyres dressed, wheels given a quick coat of Collinite, and I was happy enough. Absolutely no point in dressing the arches in this weather, living in the country. Unfortunately, while on my fast road run yesterday, I must have clobbered a few substantial insects, as my front numberplate has a large crack in it.
So, here are some photos from yesterday's run, and some, post-clean, today!
I'll do a wee update on the P6 later this evening, for those interested!

I'm always impressed with the way that it cleans up, given that it's never lived inside in my ownership, and has done a reasonable number of miles in my tenure. I don't think I'll sell it any time soon.
