which is what it's all about Dan.
I've nicked ideas from your build with coolant pipes and when my IC is done, i'll at least be able to advise if worthwhile and what was needed from where

I know it will work now, but only time will tell if it was worthwhile, but I hate intercoolers with plastic end tanks as they blow off when you start upping the pressure

I have never thort about that, out of interest what intercoolernhave you gone for? Core size ect, I don't understand much about the differences between intercoolers

I'll let you know when I know which one fits
I've got three to try.
Usual applies, surface area and then core depth.
We are stuck a lot on the surface area, even using slimline fans, there simply isn't much area exposed to airflow so chucking in a massive thing that's then covered by the crash bar is pointless.
I'm favouring the 700mm wide setup thats 76 or 90mm core depth. Rated to 400bhp (although that's not truly accurate as you can't measure an IC by power but airflow etc), but it's going to be plenty enough for 300+ and I doubt a K-Series is going to ever see that much without leaving a trail of engine components along the road, lol

yep, large one is similar to what i think will work, but the pipe inlets are more to the top or bottom which we need in order to run pipework.
Short of having custom one made up (read : very expensive) there aren't many which are dual pass (i.e pipework at same end), so either end is more off the shelf. Just means running a return as I can tell you there is zero chance of getting pipework up on the drivers side. Simply too much gubbins in the way.

I have seen a few dual pass ones on e bay, universal intercoolers but I don't know what the quality will be like on them

not bad, bit expensive considering additional work would be required cutting off and re-welding legwork.
