Default Diagnostic

hi
can anyone recommend a good Diagnostic scanner to buy as ive got a airbag light on and been to 3 places now and they cant do it as they not got rover on there machines . im sure its the drivers seat playing up but want to be shure before i start messing about .

This is more most commonly reported error message and is most often due to the poor quality wiring connectors under the front seat/seats. It can be diagnosed by T4, but in 9 cases from 10 can be fixed by giving the connectors a pull and push. Maybe tie a mini zip tie around them to reduce slippage. There's lots of info around the forum on doing this. Some say disconnect the battery first, but I never have.

Our tool will do the airbag ECUs on 75s. We don't yet cover the entire car but coverage is slowly increasing.

The tool needs a Windows, Linux or Mac OSX laptop to make it work, but it doesn't need to be particularly new or powerful.

Other tools are also available.....
