Thumbs up MG Rover London, Essex & Southeast meet. Sun 25th Sept.

[QUOTE=Fast Alan;4602963]
THE 16TH LONDON MEET

SUNDAY 25/09/11 - 13:00pm
The HALFWAY HOUSE - BRENTWOOD

WELCOME

We are MG-ROVER - LONDON, a group of like minded owners of all
different models of MG-ROVER's from down the years who meet
up once a month to chat, share ideas, thoughts, parts and to just
make the most of a lazy sunday afternoon.

We meet up on the 3rd Sunday of the Month at our latest location,
The Halfway House in Brentwood, we came to this location based
on the fact that we needed somwhere that isn't so urban and
congested and has been at our meets and also very easy access
to and from the M25.

The new location has a massive car park, serves great food and its
easy to get to as the A127 is straight off the M25 at Junction 29,
after trying various locations this has proven to be a good meeting place,
accommodating for the numbers that we attracted from .org and the
many other Forum Members that came.Later in the year we may also
meet here and cruise into Southend on sea

ABOUT THE MEET

We arrive as the designated time which is early in the afternoon
so that we can make a day of it and avoid the dark nights that
we get in the winter months.

After looking at Members Cars we take a few pics and weather
permiting we stay outside to greet anyone who has yet to arrive,
were not hard to find as we all park together in the Venue Car Park,
the current Meet Rep is Fast Alan who drives a ROVER 200 BRM so
keep an eye out.

We will always do our best to have the Meets at venues with
facillities so if the Weather takes a turn for the worst or if its the
Winter Months there is always somewhere warm to sit, plus the
proximity of Toilets, Food and Drink always go down well.

These Meets are Family Friendly and we welcome anyone to
participate, we are always looking for new meet venues so if you
can suggest a good meet location then tell us and we can chat
about it on the forum or at the meet.

There are a good handful of us from all over the London, Kent and
Essex areas but we gladly welcome more, if you know any other
Members on .org near the Meet or Friends who own an MG-ROVER
then SPREAD THE WORD and post up Topics on your respective
owners Club Web-sites.

We have a few basic rules for the Meet, this is to make sure we
Represent mg-rover.org and MG-ROVER - LONDON in a good manner.

1. NO ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOR
2. NO WHEEL SPINS
3. NO BURN-OUTS
4. NO DOHNUTS
5. NO DANGEROUS MANUVERS (Handbreak turns etc)
6. NO BLASTING SOUND SYSTEMS
7. DRINK RESPONSIBLY

I've posted my name up already on the ZR forum. It should be really good, better still if some 75 and ZT's turn up

Oo, nice quick reply. Bob and his Flying Banana should be there hopefully if the niggles are sorted. Let's get a few 75s and ZTs there.

It's 1 year since out biggest meet so trying to beat it!

Spread the word, ask close/ nearby fellow members to come too!

PS. Last time we have a couple guys from mg-rover.org come from Liecester. It's a good run on a Sunday.

Well if, it helps guys, check the link to the Facebook page, and in there is albums of all the meets we've ever had. Some very nice cars have been down. The 4th Meet was by far the best numbers wise, infact we had a nice 75 tourer that til this very day I still have no idea who it was, any ideas?

Check the pics out! and then 'Like' us!
