Just as a starter it looks like there are less connections in the adapter leads than there are in the Rover loom.

I think you're missing the steering wheel controls - which isn't a big issue in itself but it makes me wonder if there are other connections missing.

Do you have the RAVE wiring diagrams? You might have to go back to basics and follow through each wire from loom to unit. If you don't I'm sure we can give you a run down of what wires/numbers do what.

Or maybe it's something simple such as a blown fuse?

Good Luck.

Andy.

PS Which passenger fuse box have you got? The "original" one with full sized fuses or the "new" one with mini fuses? AFAIK the wiring looms are different.

The original looks like this - it might not have the same relays etc. (RL1/RL2 etc.) depending on exactly which model/engine ZT-T you have. And the cables in the top right hand corner are my additions for an auxiliary socket.

AndyN01 Thanks for reply.

Answering your questions:

01- If it's missing i really don't know, but the steering controls are working

02- i don't have RAVE diagrams, don't even know what RAVE means.

03- Probably, but not so sure, because with the Highline Radio the audio just works fine

04- Full size fuses

Thanks.

Apologies for getting the connections wrong - it was just from a quick look.

RAVE is, I think, Rover Aftersales Viewing Environment, or, more simply, the Rover/MG Manual on a CD in a pdf format. You can get a copy from Rimmers:

https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-ZAA000400

Am I correct in that the Highline is/was the original fitment? If so then I'd be very upset if it didn't work .

I think more detail would be helpful.

What is the model number?

What happens when you switch the unit on? Do you get a generic opening screen?

Does it have selections for "Radio" etc. etc. that need to be selected?

What have you already tried?

Assuming the unit is powering up but there is no audio I'm wondering if the unit isn't detecting anything to "play" OR it's not sending anything to amplifier (is that powering up?) and/or the speakers.

Andy.

Sorry for the late reply.

the highline was an original fitment

The model is just Erisin, I don't know the model

When I switch it on it works fine, I even tried different audio sources (youtube, radio, etc).

I suppose i need to take off the HK amplifier and make some new connections..or something similar, like having the power supply of the HK amplifier connected directly to a power source.

EXL007 is the wrong extension harness.

EXL005 is the one that's required, well its what I use and sell for the Xtrons stereos.

Maybe the Erisen has different pin outs.

Cheers

Thank you very much, next week i'll have the EXL 005

I'm thinking in making a DIY installation guide, since it's not very clear, at least for the highline spec ZTT
