Well according to the apocalyptic foresayers, we have between 18 months and 2 years before we are all going to DIE if we don’t stop driving our cars and flying, heating our homes and generating electric, along with anything else you can think of.Perhaps if all these doom mongers lose their jobs and freeze to death , and can not get to the shops for food that won’t be there because lorries can not get into deliver anything perhaps they might realise that they were suffering from a bad case of Hysteria.

I wonder if that means the “apocalypse foresayers “ will stop breading as the end of the world is approaching ?

The world is full of worriers, a good friend of mine made a lot of money at the millennium. He is in IT and was paid a lot of money by the government to be on standby when the clocks changed. He had to do nothing apart from think how he was going to spend all the money.

In a 100 years or so there will be no more oil or no more that is economical to extract. What will happen then? Will we all go back to horse and carts and sail ships? I don't think so, Aircraft will have a new form of propulsion, electricity generation will be on a scale we now think impossible from natural resources and by methods we cant even imagine at the moment.

I think we will have bigger problems, with 11 billion mouths to feed worldwide and who knows what the Arabs are going to be up to with no more Oil revenue? I am glad I wont be here.

The current crop of Climate Change clowns are merely the latest in a long list of cults predicting the "end of the World". I read a book about these some years ago and they included the collapse of the UK when we ran out of coal in the 1850s, the collapse of the US when the oil ran out of oil then predicted to 1919 and we would all starve in the 1960s as the world would be unable to feed the world population. More recently we had predictions of doom with the oil starting to run out at the start of the new Millennium!

In the 90s the "Global Warming" cult started they were predicting we would have all gone to Hell in a handcart well before the 2020 and indeed that idiot American VP suggested no ice sheet at the North Pole by 2010. Why do the stupid masses still believe this nonsense? Perhaps because they are stupid!

Clearly we are doing a lot wrong by filling the seas with plastic, laying waste to the Amazon and still driving diesels.....

It took me a while to get to grips with Formula-E and it's rules but I'm slowly getting used to it. I'll be watching more of it this season.
I've been reading Dacia are going to throw their hat into the EV ring next year with what will be Europe's cheapest BEV. https://insideevs.com/news/398676/da...g-europe-2021/

It's now official! Renault has just confirmed a BEV Dacia within two years as their cars wont meet the new emission limits, Get this! It will be less than euros10K in Germany after subsidies https://www.electrive.com/2020/02/17...hin-two-years/

Electric rapid transit (eRT) seem to be the buzzword now! Good job I've got my bus pass and I think I should have kept hold of my pushbike by the sound of it. https://www.localgov.co.uk/Councils-...ormation/50017

Ouch! It's not getting any better out there! I've read about local authorities bringing in more expensive parking permits for multi vehicle owners before.

Newham council looks set to introduce them & also readdress the whole residential permit system, the cost will now be based on five emission-based charging bands, with parking for electric vehicles being free. https://airqualitynews.com/2020/02/2...ting-vehicles/

More warped thinking. Now non-electric vehicles will just keep driving around...... Cheaper than parking.
