I have no problem believing that perhaps the Chinese can quarry and process the granite cheaper than we can, but the bit I don't understand is why they are able to ship it half way round the world, and still be cheaper. You try shipping a 2kg parcel to Aberdeen, and you will be hit with a huge surcharge because it appears that Aberdeen has recently been moved into the Highlands???
And remember that surcharge will apply even if you live in Aberdeen.

Need to change all their tourist advertising, "Welcome to Aberdeen. The Glanit City"!

It's about time we started charging a premium for exporting our oil and gas to the far reaches of the UK such as the Lowlands and Islands in Londonshire
