Default Bargain 75 for sale - Full Electric Leather

Just spotted this on my hunt for a cheap runaround for my mate.

It could be made very nice with some TLC.

https://www.gumtree.com/p/rover/rove...age/1212219272

Full heated electric leather, black oak dash by the looks of it too!

I saw this car on gumtree a few days ago but its Mot history suggests poor maintenance, but still worth a look especially in that colour.

It's funny how objective opinions are. I suggested the short mot was a red flag on a previous thread and was told the history ''wasn't the worst so it should be okay'''

Is it just me, or am I right in thinking chrome side trims were on all models. The near side mouldings are the same colour as the car in the picture, suggesting respray without bothering to remove trims....short cut, and grotty !!

Oh i didnt look at its history i literally just spied it and thought that might be worth somthing.
on closer inspection its probably going to be worth more in bits, i'd only really want the interior to sell on haha!

As it's a Contemporary SE, I think you'll find that chrome side mouldings were optional.

Body colour trims were the standard for Contemporaries. Under the paint is chrome I understand.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

I made no mention about length of mot, I only mentioned the mot history in the context that the car was being presented at mot time with nearly bald tyres which would not suggest a to me a good maintenace regime.

Default Anyone free tonight ?

Does anyone who lives close by fancy having a look at this 75 for me?

Really do like the look of it, and 4months mot givescme time to sort any niggles it might have..I notice there is no mention of uprated gasket being mentioned, maybe this has put a few off? Also the wheels are not original , maybe the owner took the originals, poss. Gridspokes etc off to sell seperately?

Conflicting opinions on the forum, but it still does look well worth being rrescued at that money..as it wouldnt be a daily runner, I dont mind a little fixing..

As I am 2and half hours away(worksop) could anyone nip and have a look see?
Thanks, Chris.
