Default Snippet of news on R.T.

Although the Galapagos Islands was declared a world heritage site by UNESCO in 1978 they decided to take it off the list in 2010. Now Ecuador has given permission for the U.S.A. to construct an airforce base there.
Another step in Trumps domination of the world.

According to the Independent - the US is denying any military airbase deal but that it has reached an agreement with Ecuador on combating drug smuggling in the area.

It looks like the Pentagon will use a USAF Boeing 707 (777 more likely?) specialist Radar Surveillance plane and a Lockheed Orian. Which have been given permission to use the tiny airport on San Cristobal Island.

Looks like a classic bit of “spin” by RT to me.
