there's plenty else around. one just needs to look! We know Roverbreakers are going to be good for diesels for some time to come by the sound of it.

it would be worth someone doing a comprehensive listing of all the pgj numbers so people have a readyreckoner for consulting when things come up on ebay.
e.g. pgj 000050 and 000110 are for diesels. (I still want to know whether the 050 is the three speed original or just an earlier part number for the latter revised two speed)

theres also good photo info on keiths sticky thread about the relative sizes of the smaller engined petrol cars' Siemens motor unit versus the larger one for 2.5 and diesel... if one wants to go down the route of re-using wiring and just swapping motor; in which case its a lot more simple to find the variant you want.

I ordered one today from my local ex dealer. He tells me he can get it no problem.
I need it done before I drive to Spain next month.

Did your order come through Collit?

I tried to order a Diesel or a KV6 one today from Xpart

NO STOCK anywhere.
Situation is desparate now with cars off the road waiting for cooling motors.

Based on past performance this is the exact time that I discover that my Climate Control fault is connected to a dodgy fan motor.......

Just to let anyone know i have succesfully repaired a siemans radiator fan motor using new brushes. I carried out a full strip down cleanup of board and motor windings. Cleaned up the Com and fitted new brushes and springs. Now works a very well.
If anybody wants a repair exchange i now have one spare motor ready for dispatch as long as get your old one back. Cost around £120 including post

Thumbs up Cooling fan assemblies - update.

Just had a quick word with x-part.

Hoping that we don't fall at the final hurdle, the cooling fan assemblies should be available early November, the diesel one should be first out of the blocks followed quickly by the petrol one.

The assemblies that will be available will be.
PGJ 000090-350watt for smaller engined 75's without air con.
PGJ 000100-450watt for petrol and kv6.Works as a direct replacement for three speed fan units, fitted one myself and it works fine.(2002 conn se tourer 2.5 kv6)
PGJ 000110-450watt for the Diesels
There is talk of getting rid of the 350watt units, for obvious reasons.

For those of you who would like the official type tested resistor assembly the part number from x-part is ZUA 000160.

I received a tsb in relation to rewiring the relay box today and while I was on to the dealer ordering bits n bobs I asked on the lead time, he was under the impression the date had moved from November ?
