had a right nightmare today , all was fine yesterday after the car had been run up to normal temp and all the idle parameters reset on the T4, only had a slight leak on the bottom hose that goes form the gerry T straght down the rad and to the PRT it was weeping around the top,

so today i went out took the pipe off cut about an inch of it as the top had become very soft.
reinstalled the pipe started the car up it was idleing at around 1k
so just cracked on to bleed the cooling system and i could here what sounds like an air leak comeing some where from the inlet manifold and it wasnt there yesterday

so took a short trip to check it was all driveing ok about half way pulled over, and reset my stepper motor and then the idle seamed to be ok after that drove it back home and that lower pipe on the T peice is still weeping coolent so had a guts full today and just left it

So as you can see I have made my own bottom hose for the car to stop the weeping of the other one, so I fitted this last Tuesday and while i was underneath noticed that the PRT was hanging down a bit, so I put a big zip tie around it to hold it up a little higher and fitted this pipe, run the car for a few days and was looseing slight ammounts on water and couldn't see where it was going, on friday on my way home I could see a little steam now and agin coming out theough the grill while I was sat in traffic so keept an eye on my coolant temp via OBD, once I got home switch the car off got underneath and had a nose around and then could see that due to me tieing tje stat up a little I had upset the lower water feed pipe for the turbo and it now had split :'(, this is not what I needed as I were due to be leaving saterday to go down to brooklands for MG eara, luck enough eurorover (wyn) had a spair pipe so saterday moreing I was out side at 8:30am fitting the pipe I had from wyn hopeing that I didn't have any more problems and that the car would make it to brooklands, drove down there car was fine all the way, but just before leaving the show I spotted a small puddle under the car agin, toped it up and drove home, nothing else has been spotted yet, so I am hopeing its all good form here, will check in the morning to see if any coolant was lost on the way home, just hope I don't have any more leeks now, below is the pipe I made with a 32mm stainless steel 90 useing some on the o.e hose and replaceing the bad part, and a photo of the car at brooklands motor museum today

When I first bought my 75 there were a number of small cooling system leaks.I managed to sort them all apart from one, which turned out to be external HGF.There was no sign of any leak whilst the engine was hot as it burnt off the leaking coolant, but as the engine cooled over night small puddles of coolant formed on the garage floor.Coolant was collecting along the bottom edge of the exhaust manifold.Apparently it's quite common that the heat from the turbo causes this on standard/poor quality head gaskets.Had the MLS fitted now for 3 years and no further coolant loss
