Default cruise control

Sorry it's another question on cruise control.

My CDT failed its's MOT badly so I purchased another one. The new CDT does not have cruise where as my old one did. What do I need to remove from my old car (& where are all the unseen bits located) to fit it to my new car.

Many thanks,

Wayne.

for a face lift.
remove the air con control in the centre console. Behind it there may be three plugs wrapped in foam, blue, green and black. It is the black one you want.
In the passenger foot well remove the fuse panel cover. To the right if the fuse box you looking for a plug hanging down. This is where the ecu plugs into, there will be 2 bolt holes to take the supporting bracket and bolts.

Disconnect battery for i'll say 2 hours, remove air bag from steering wheel. The cruise control buttons will fit into the same plug as the radio controls and so you need a set of cruise control buttons which include radio control buttons. also required is a cruise control button for centre console and to make cruise work properly a T4 session

Blue I think is traction control and green rear sun blind

you should be able to buy all you need for not much over £40. You will also need a new panel to fit under the air con unit that has an extra hole for the cruise on / off button.

You are not to far from me, if you want a hand to fit it give me a shout, for T4 speak to cb750chirs, nice decent chap and closer to you

Hi, sorry, I didn't specify it was a pre face lift model. I have all the parts on my old car I just needed to know what was needed from the old motor to transfer to the new one & where all the unseen bits were located. If they're located in the same place as the face lift then I'll crack on at the weekend, if not, I'll need to be pointed in the right direction.

Check to see if you have the wiring in place first, if not speak to Rick Sta on here who can help you with a wiring loom.
