Default Rear spring

Cars going in for rear upper and lower suspension arm replacement next week.

Just trying to anticipate possible discovery of rear spring failure while they're doing the job and planning ahead.

I couldn't find any label with spring colour ID under the back seat, is there a standard colour tabbed spring for a diesel saloon 2003 Mk 1 and wheres the best place to order one from price, quality and quick delivery wise?

Cheers

I've s face lift and I think the colour code is green / white. Rimmers were doing the springs for about £20 or £20 each a month or two ago

Didn't need the springs after however the dampers were a different matter.

One clearly U/S and the other was corroded to half it's diameter. Not as bad as the chap's who posted pictures of his the other day that looked as it you could bend them with your fingers but well on the way to that state.

Anyway all rear suspension arms and bushes renewed along with the dampers and a brand new MOT as well, and the one and a half inch difference in wheel rim to wheel arch height between the two sides of the car now back to normal, now identical either side.

Just off to the 4 wheel alignment place now and hopefully end of big spending ( for another week anyway)

The RJ on the VIN denotes that it is a Rover 75, so they all have that code.

There is some info. on decoding the VIN here.
