I do like your Garden Steve, looks very nice.

You could incorporate the rear subframe and make it a centre piece garden sculpture.

Just to be clear, I got mine at a price from the supplier of USD$200 including delivery from Shanghai. It arrived ready for fitting. A couple of days ago, I got a customs invoice for STG£60.10, so the net price to me was about £210STG all in. For anyone considering purchasing from the same source, this is broken down as follows:
£5.22 Duty Type
£30.88 VAT Type
£20.00 Deferment Processing Fee
Total £56.10

Net Non-VATable £36.10 (clearly the first two items)
Net VATable £20.00
VAT at 20% £4
Total due £60.10

Regarding the Fiacom price rise - I suppose some of that may possibly relate to the recent currency fluctuations between the pound and the dollar, but I struggle to see how that alone would account for a 50% price increase.

However, in the meantime I was informed by FIACOM that you can get brand new Rover 75 rear subframes, bushed and ready to fit, for US$200.00 including shipping.

Part number is KHB000130 by the way if anyone wants to know.

If you are interested, please email Leo at FIACOM ([email protected]), tell him you are a member here and would like to know more details.

BTW, if you do go and get one I'd very much recommend shoving at least 1 big tin of this stuff inside the box sections and then over every square inch of the unit, especially on the upper side:

Hello

2 questions - are these still available and has anyone bought one and if so what was your experience . I realise its for a 75 subframe with the comfort rubbers as opposed to the harder ZT set up.

Cheers

I bought one and it is now fitted to a car which is due to be put back on the road next week. At the time I first enquired about it, the price had gone up substantially and as the car would have needed some other jobs doing I left it for a while and drove a different 75 for a year. Eventually the price came back down so I ordered it a few months ago - once I had paid the subsequent import duty I think it was a bit under £220. Getting the other jobs done took longer than expected though, which is why it's only about to go back on the road now. The lad who fitted it for me says it should outlast the rest of the car!

Yes. I'll check back through my emails etc in a bit to see if there's any additional/more accurate information there which might be of use.

I got some.

I would add that they are definitely Chinese. The quality of the steel and welding is not as good as the originals.

Mind you, who cares I suppose, half the 75/ZTs are rusty wrecks now anyway, so....

The paint finish is woeful, you should strip it and re-finish it to have nothing to worry about.

Last price I remember was 200 Dorrar.
