Quite correct.
As the UK has voted out, technically we are out and Scotland will not have a free passage to join the EU if we gain independence.

Perhaps more on topic.
I remember the many changes the EU forced upon us.
From the change the Mains nominal voltage measurement to align with Europe.
RoHS compliance
WEEE Directive
All that effected my trade and was another reason it's died out.

All the regulations on NCAP ratings Euro 4,5,6 etc on emissions only to hacked worldwide.
EU Health and safety, that often is OTT.
EU directives on Paints and other oil based products.

These are a tiny amount that I personally know about, what about the millions of rules forced on us.
Perhaps that's why China and India have industries that we don't, OK I wouldn't like to live in those countries but hay ho too much legislation is stifling the UK.

If we in Scotland were independent and in the EU we would still have to abide by their rules, would we be able to compete with established industries in Slovakia, Poland and the other old eastern block countries?
Ms Sturgeon prattles on about whiskey, she wants to sell it abroad but put an alcohol tax the natives have to pay, talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
Oil is going through a rough time, lots have lost their jobs, perhaps it will return but in the meantime no doubt they'll build a wind farm on the pitch at Ibrox!!!!

Considering today, the future, result and consequences, I saw nothing funny in the comments

Bluddy Spell checkers no worth a dam!
Born in England in toffy nosed Walton-on-Thames, from a proud Scottish family on my mothers side, the Alexanders of Montrose.
Dad was an Aeronautical design draughtsman who worked with Vickers and the design of some famous wartime planes.
Mums side is even more interesting.
So I'm probably more patriotic than many Scots born here, I love Scotland and have travelled it length and breadth. Just want the best for the country and its kind, caring and friendly people
