Default Alloy refurb, HARD lacquer needed

Hi all. This week, I completed the refurb of my alloys. I have done a really good job, even if I say so myself! However to my horror, as I was fitting one of them, I LIGHTLY knocked it and it chipped! I barely touched it! I am putting this down to using a poor lacqeur. Can anyone recommend a good HARD one that doesn't require 'baking' to get the same effect as 'new' ones? I'm not especially bothered about a high gloss, I just don't want to be going through the same hassle again in 6 months time (and expense, 4 tins of 'silver sparkle' at £9 a throw!). Cheers. P.S. No comments about 'needing a hard one' please!

I used halfords own clear, you will need to wait a few days/weeks for it to totally go off.

I've got a set of standard coupe wheels I have just done sitting in the window baking in the nice February sun!
