Default New backbox recommendations

My backbox is rapidly falling apart. As a full stainless steel exhaust is a bit out of reach at the moment, I 've been thinking about a stainless steel backbox. There are lots on ebay for around £50 plus postage, that are universal and say they will fit an mgzt.

I was just wondering if they would be suitable for a diesel and how hard they are to fit? Am I corect in thinking the old backbox will have to be cut off? Can a new backbox simply be clamped on or does it need welding?

Anybody gone down this route and can recommend anything?

i generally wouldnt entertain those from ebay as they require welding and you dont know how loud they will be also the quality of stainless steel thats been used.

i believe it is but stating and using are two different things. Mine is from Longlife cost £350 for a cat back system with two boxes in the middle pipe and the rear silencer. good quality and its made custom to your specs, they will do a backbox only for roughly £150 fitted look them up theres bound to be a place near you that does them and they give a lifetime guarantee!!
