New backbox recommendations
My backbox is rapidly falling apart. As a full stainless steel exhaust is a bit out of reach at the moment, I 've been thinking about a stainless steel backbox. There are lots on ebay for around £50 plus postage, that are universal and say they will fit an mgzt.
I was just wondering if they would be suitable for a diesel and how hard they are to fit? Am I corect in thinking the old backbox will have to be cut off? Can a new backbox simply be clamped on or does it need welding? Anybody gone down this route and can recommend anything?

They are stated as being t304 stainless steel? Is that the best quality?
