Default How hard to retrofit cruise in a 190

Hi just wondering before I start to think too hard, my 190 has no cruise or any wiring present, what is involved in fitting this and what would I need to make sure I got when getting the parts ?

Thanks

Not a bad job if the wiring is present, you need ecu, switch for dashboard, steering wheel switches, throtle body, and actuator then a quick T4 to alter your coding, its a lot of work if you dont have the wiring in place though!

Remove the ATC unit and look for wiring loom bunched together.
You're looking for a square black plug which is usually taped up with the left and right heated seats switch looms.

As Trikey said, easy with the wiring in place, without it there's 18 pages of wiring diagrams relating to every loom plug and header in the system you'll need to splice into.
If you haven't got the wiring, don't bother.

Edit:
Steering wheel controls,
Dash switch,
ECU
Interface Module,
Actuator Vacuum Pump,
Bellows for throttle body

Rather than removing the entire ATC unit, you can just pull out the strip of trim located immediately below it and above the cupholder/cigar lighter - only takes a few seconds to open the cigar lighter, reach a finger or two behind the panel above it (the one in which any buttons for cruise/heated seats etc are normally located) and gentle prise it out. It should just pop off in a couple of clicks, all you need to do is make sure you don't pull it so suddenly as to break the plastic clips. Then you can have a peek through the gaps and carefully hoke in behind it to see what you can pull through.
