I occasionally use my cruise control. However auto pilot???

Yes 'Autopilot' as Tesla calls it. Quick to add that it shouldn't be confused with completely autonomous driving mode (i.e. hands on wheel and attention on road at all times). Doesn't stop idiot owners (whilst being the driver with the car moving) from;


Attending to their dog in the back seat.
having a kip in the passenger seat!
Reading their kindle or watching TV.

Basically, if you see a Tesla on the motorway give it a wide berth - or alternatively go 'play' with it and see if the driver is awake.

LOL a lot of these people have no concept what "autopilot" can or cant do, It's level 2 autonomy at best and a far cry away from level 5 that is full autonomy. I've read a few of the reports in the USA where they jam a tennis ball in the steering wheel to fool the system into thinking that the driver is holding the steering wheel whilst they use their mobile phones
Stupid isn't going away any time soon.
